I considered an E9(2) 320i 6 Spd before buying my current car. It was very peppy and spirited for a smaller engine. The gearbox really brought it to life. The model I drove wasn't an M Sport, and I did think when I was driving it that it didn't corner brilliantly, and that the M would probably be a lot better. The one I looked at was also ex-UK and had a bit've corrosion around it, so keep an eye out for that. As a reference, it was about 25,000kms and $28k off the top of my head.
