deeveus 81 Report post Posted August 19, 2013 Anyone here know anything about them? http://www.trademe.co.nz/electronics-photo...n-627696235.htm have seen this one for quite a reasonable price? I'm just wanting something for the rugby on Saturday night! It probably won't be used again. Can that one only be used in the dark or? Trying to find info on them, is 600 hours a lot on one of these? _ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted August 19, 2013 Yes, also age of the bulb is important, it might have done 600 hours but if the bulb is 6 years old and/or hasnt been used for a year or so, then it can pop anyways. Actually its just like a timing belt on a car! Also, very easy to change the bulb timer on a projector no matter the model as well, replacing the bulb doesn't always happen when the timer gets reset I dont get much Epson gear come in so cant comment on this exact model though sorry. I've got about 40-60 people here on Saturday night, if it stacks itself it will probably be coming through his front window with a brick attached to it haha! I did toy with the idea of just going and buying new for 500 bucks, but for all it will be used, I just couldn't warrant the extra $
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted August 20, 2013 Looks like you have made your decision so thats good! for the 90 minutes or however long the rugby lasts I'm sure it will be fine had a look at them on the system at work today, looks like they came out in 2006 so could be up to that age, hope its on its second bulb.
