E30 Engine conversion help.

Hi guys,

Thinking about putting a new motor into my e30 to make a track car.

I got a 1987 E30 318i

Have a few thoughts about M30B35 just want good acceleration.

My budget could reach 8k for engine and install.

Anyone had experience or has done it.

Just want to know which engine could fit my e30

The m5* conversion is relatively straight forward, can be done using various BMW parts 8k would get it done nicely

M52 is common but would be your best bet. Goes in easyier than the M30 and heaps lighter.

Build a 3 liter m52.

+1 8K should be plenty for a m52 swap, including a good freshen up and power boost.

depends if you are doing the conversion yourself or not
