MilesP 13 Report post Posted October 2, 2013 Hi guys, Looking have a gearbox changed form auto to manual but my regular mechanics seem to be quoting very high. They want over $1000 inc GST for labor alone! This is a far cry from the quote that Brent gave me. Are there any other recommended mechanics that I could try around Christchurch? My quote was around 14 hours labor or they could do it in 7 hours but would need 2 men working on it so labor would be $160 an hour. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Had most of my work done there, they were good on price and know their stuff. Also had work done at John Findlays who were cheap and good to deal with but no bmw code scanner and used to take them agees to finish jobs.
