louistan3 1 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Hi Guys, Does anyone know where to buy ignition wires for my E30? I've got a quote from jerryclayton and it roughly costs $700 for the whole set!! Is that standard pricing or is there a better place to get them? I've also tried Euro-Italian and they don't have em for the E30. Thanks EDIT- Please let me know if this isn't the right place to put this post. Sorry. Etwenty1 45 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 Do you mean the HT leads from the dis cap to the spark plugs?
louistan3 1 Report post Posted October 10, 2013 Yes, that's the one. 6 of them all in all in my 320i. Sorry not sure what it's called as i thought that it was ignition cables/wires. Any idea where i can buy them cheaper? I'd really want new ones as I want to be sure they are in good working order as I slowly restore the car to its former glory. Eagle 1669 Report post Posted October 10, 2013 Id get them overseas. Depending if its a PFL or FL you looking at around $150-200ish shipped. One of those parts its def worth getting from oversas if you want new.
Etwenty1 45 Report post Posted October 10, 2013 IMO If you want to be sure they are in good working order you should just get your leads tested if you suspect a fault rather than just changing for them for no reason. Better to spend $$ on a good cap and rotor which will wear and affect performance. Ive got a couple of good 6 cyl sets spare from running cars for say $50 a set.
