my e39 battery drain problem

spend a day to find out battery drain problem.brand new battery dry in a night.

problem is fuse #57.power for the stereo .anyone can tell me replace another factory stereo of after market which way better.

I can't recall fuse 57 circuit offhand but quite likely more circuits on it than just the radio. I would doubt the radio itself is faulty, there are other more common issues for battery drain in the E39. I suggest getting it checked by an auto sparky

Does it have a factory or aftermarket bluetooth system?

If the tel on signal is high it make keep your stereo and amp on after the car has been turned off.

I've posted it in a previous thread before but check out the wires in the flexible hose that joins the boot lid with the car. On my old e39 there was loose wires that were shorting out and preventing the car going into sleep mode. 15 minutes with some solder and electrical tape and she was sorted.

it use to have a phone on it and I already disconnected it.

#57 is the telephone,but I already disconnect the phone before I tested.

Try taking the plug out of the Telephone module.
