roo 41 Report post Posted March 24, 2014 Hi team, strange noise on startup on my 94 E34 540i. Only does it sometimes and more often when hot. Never at idle or any other time. Link to video I just captured Also there is a very strange noise which I struggle to describe which occurs at idle in drive when sitting in traffic for a long period of time. The closest thing I can liken it to is very faint truck horn about a kilometre away. It's reasonably short and I can feel a very light vibration through the brake pedal when it happens. It almost feels like the brake booster is releasing built up pressure or something like that? Hard to record as it happens rarely and only briefly.
