SavageXii 2 Report post Posted May 6, 2014 Driving around I keep hearing these knocking sounds like metal on metal, i pressed down on the shocks by hand on each side and it sounds like thats where its coming from. cars history suggests it has monroe shocks and new top hats, any suggestions on how to fix?are they not installed correctly? not fitting perfectly or some rubber bump stops failed or something? elmarco 56 Report post Posted May 6, 2014 Yes, definitely, maybe. Could be a midget with a hammer under there too. Shocks do go bad & i have had knocking from them before when they are knackered.
