kiwi328i 118 Report post Posted May 11, 2014 I bought this for Mum's car last year as it had all the symptoms...so I swapped it out and of course it didn't fix the problem. I swapped in a brand new cheap rubbish crankshaft sensor from China off fleabay for pocket money and wallah, it stopped coughing and stopped being resistant to starting up so I put the original camshaft sensor back it all is dandy, wasn't the camshaft sensor after all. I really need to buy one of them diagnostic things. Hence I have a spare camshaft sensor. Mum;s car was a 320i, but it should fit any of the M52's? It has done 0.00 kms, as it was only running without being driven on. Secondhand technically, but should work like new. When I pulled it out some of the outer sleeve broke, its only aesthetic as per image. It doesn't and will not affect it's function. less than half price of a new one and I have the receipt.
