Bonto 14 Report post Posted May 12, 2014 Hey people, I've done something kinda dumb - long story, won't bore you but I fed a hook through a hole in the sheet metal just below the boot latch (body side) then closed the boot. It won't open now of course, doesn't matter whether locked or not and the central locking appears to be still working via key and from unlocking at the front doors... I believe the lock mechanism itself is fine, but the hook is obstructing the release of the catch. Two questions: do any of you know a way into an e28 boot that doesn't involve cutting?! wall behind the back seat is solid steal. do any of you have a boot lid that I can buy if I have get the tin opener out? e30 boots are apparently identical. Colour is light metalic blue. It's one of those ridiculous problems... Of course the boot was/is full of camping gear and food for the weekend just gone by... _Matt_ 42 Report post Posted May 12, 2014 That's all a bit extreme, boot button is in a plastic mould. Surey you can just pop that out somehow.
