E36 M3 3.0 radiator and coolant, proactive maint

How reliable are the radiators. I recall that allot of the 5 series ones always split. How do the E36 M3 3.0 generally last ?

Also, is there any special coolant required, or anything std will do?

PS. Its for a targa race car, so it'll always run hot. Already ordered new upper and lower hose pipes and new Thermostat. Not the water pump at this stage.

Do water pump as well if you're going to that extent.

The M3 radiator seems to last longer than the others. I've only replaced one, the top hose broke off. That car had done 220km.

BMW coolant should be used. Bout $18 per 1.5L.
