325GRANT 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 try bmw turbo link it will give you the basics but to be honest its not the best. (if i remember he used bolts from a hardware shop for his head) its a start
bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 why would you want to turbo a 2 litre tho.... for cheap enough you could chuck a 2.5 in, instead of spending 5g on a turbo conversion
obie320i 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 I have only own the car a few months I bought it as a semi project/get to work car so am not that familiar with what would be the best bang for my buck would 325 have more gains over turbo 2 ltr I love the way the car drives but would like a bit more get up and go. so hence I am asking people more of a knowledge base than my own what they would consider so any advice will be taken onboard. Cheers.
bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 sorry dude, yuh, tis fairly cheap to do a 2.5 or a decent 2.7 build, theres a sticky in performance section with details on how to do a 2.7 build, it isnt that expensive to do either, compared with turbo
325GRANT 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) if your pretty happy with your car and only want a "bit more go" the best bet would be to find a 2.5 they go pretty good. it would be a good first step, if you still want more after that you can always turbo the 2.5 im sure theres someone in your area that has a 2.5 that can take you for a spin so you can see what they go like. i think youll find a 2.5 will do what you want hope this helps if you still want to do a turbo project let me know i have tons and tons of info on this.
