Will a E36 rear wheel system fit a E30?

Not sure of the exact name, but the whole rear wheel system, i.e. the disk breaks, diff and everything that joins them

The diff is 3.64 (perfect for my conversion)

Will it fit the E30? If not, would it take much modification or would it not be worth it?

Also, what would you expect to pay for something like that? Its in excellent conditon with new pads and well stored. They want me to place an offer, not sure what to ask for.

ROFLMAO, Rear wheel system, sorry couldn't help myself.

I presume you are refering to the E36 rear suspension arms/hubs and subframe??

If so, no they won't bolt into a E30.

The best way to get it in would be to have a E36 rear floor pan to go with it, cut outthe E30 floor and weld in the E36 floor.

This is a huge feat and you would need a specialist fabricator to even consider it, not to mention the $$$.

318ti and z3 'rear assemblys' bolt right in.

Same old generation tech as the e30's except you get the benefits of 5-stud hubs and rear disc brakes (if your car didn't have them factory)

Hmm interesting, I've modifed my 2002 to take an E30 rear end (by the cutting & welding method) - this means I could upgrade further without too much hassle
