What does it do?

What happens when its bung?

Cost to replace? (I assume new parts only are the go)

If you are talking about a E30 then it doesn't have them!!!

Am i being swindled?

The very reputable shop that kindly took $1k off me, also note that more work needs to be done.

Castor rod bushes need to be replaced

They might just be using different terminology, get them to clarify.

1000 to replace control arm bushes would be taking you up the arse hard.

No no, $1k for misc. other stuff. Extra for this.

Assuming they mean control arm bushings, how much am i looking at approx?

Is it dangerous to have bung ones?

What do they do?

its a bush between the chassis and the control arm - they allow the control arm to move a bit.

its very DIY.

Sweet. Im keen to give it a go then.

If the are bung, then am i just getting 'softer' responce? Any danger/unsafe-ness?
