Spyder 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2014 Wife's NZ new 318i. Started twice this morning, but the 3rd time it wouldn't. Seem to be plenty of volts - lights, windows work. Symptoms (other than not starting), turn key, strong "clicking" sound, lights turning on & off (not sure if in phase or out of phase with clicking) despite switch being off. Engine is not attempting to turn over. My limited guess is the starter solenoid? But hopeful the collective wisdom out there can assist.
