Diren 1 Report post Posted January 8, 2015 I've started a project on a BMW e21, and hoping someone has some tips! I'm wondering where the best places to source parts from are in NZ, I've previously worked on e30s, but parts are much harder to come by for the e21. I currently need to get my hands on some bilstein sport shocks, and a replacement interior console.. Anyone got any ideas?
aja540i 1906 Report post Posted January 8, 2015 Hmm, good luck! You could try Stocks for the shocks, but when i was looking a few years ago they were rare as rocking horse sh1t. Which interior console are you after, i may have some spare bits lying around for pre facelift models. Most parts are available from BMW, but usually have to come from Germany, ebay.co.uk can be your friend but even there they arent common anymore. handgrenade 189 Report post Posted January 9, 2015 Do you know the part number of the bilstein shocks you're after?
badmood 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2015 I got new rear bilsteins from www.bavauto.com (USA) last year while the exchange rate was good. Just under US$100 each. Less than NZ$300 landed from what i recall. Pelican parts is another good source in the US. Helps if you have someone over there to receive them and send them on to you.
