Forrest 35 Report post Posted April 22, 2015 Hi all Looking for a supplier/recommended brand for some race pads for a E36 as above that are locally available, at this point I will be running the factory rotor and caliper sizes, any recommendations would be great, I can find suitable pads overseas but not a cheap exercise. Thanks Nathan
Family Wagon 23 Report post Posted April 22, 2015 Hi Nathan, I've been running Hawk Blue 9012s in my E36 M3 for track and pretty happy with them. On standard 315mm rotors, not sure it's the same on the 325? They seemed cheapest bang for buck option to me. Grab hard when warm but can modulate, handle heat fine, though I understand newer tech pads like the Pagid Yellows are kinder on rotors. They are quite messy on wheels though not really an issue on track. Gene @ Racer products does them or Evan @ Speedfactor.
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted April 29, 2015 For track for the e36 on stock rotors, you just cant go past Pagid yellows. They're not really a road pad so only for swapping in for the track, but Jesus they're epic. Believe it or not Racebrakes in NZ offer these for very competitive prices compared to overseas. No name user 379 Report post Posted April 30, 2015 I run Ferrodo DS-2.11 seems ok, then again rotors are cheaper than brake pads these days.
