Guest MP0wer Report post Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) Was originally going to put straight pipes on the e34 525i but decided it may sound dreadful from that little motor, So may just have the cats/resonator deleted and put on a muffler. Open to suggestions or if you got something in mind. I had a Remus black box installed in my 328i last year with same modifications however I got that for a bargain and dont see the Remus muffler on sale anymore. Wanting to do it on the cheap, so may take consider any mufflers you have laying around, looking for twin tip though. kulgan 1042 Report post Posted June 9, 2015 Why not try something like this. I dont know what the inside of the 525i muffler looks like but if it's anything like the 7 series it might be a bit over designed..lol This might be worth a try. Here's a 7 series muffler. And heres what someone did to it and it sounds amazing.
Guest MP0wer Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Thats looks like one way to go about it Dave, could just keep the muffler box, gutt it and put straight pipes through it. Or just grab a cheap muffler and weld it on lol.
