_Matt_ 42 Report post Posted July 10, 2015 anyone out there have one or two of these lying around? I believe it's what is stopping my E28 from starting since one doesnt pass the resistence test. I'm moving house in a week so it's rather bad timing. Anyone got some working ones? dont care if they are bad condition, I'm buying new ones anyway, I just need to be able to drive it to my new place. BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted July 11, 2015 swap the 2 around (at both ends) , car will run on the one sensor , the main one is the one that works on the small trigger mark on the flywheel , the other runs on the flywheel teeth , but not that important to make it run , I take it ,its the factory e28 535i motronic setup? not converted to a e34 type setup? _Matt_ 42 Report post Posted July 12, 2015 yep, factory setup. out of a 635i I believe. Swapped them with no luck. I'm only getting one correct resistance from point 1 to 2 of a single sensor, 1060ish ohms. Every other point on both sensors fail to read anything.
