Greg 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 I don't soppose n e one here knows what engine is in a 1998 Z3 i.e E.., just trying to order some parts but i need the engine model. i would look at the vehicle identification plate but it seems it is not there. E30stz 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) [edit - judging by the 1.9L mentioned in your profile your motor is an M44 - edit http://www.bmwinfo.com/32218.html assuming its a roadster convertible 1.8L it could be either of m43 1995 - 1998 or facelift model m44 1998 - 2001 1.9L it is an M44 1996 - 1999 and the unlikely chance it could be a 2.8L its a M52 (1997-2000) hope that helps.
