AJBM 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2015 I have just purchased a 2002 E39 530i and the cruise is not working, there is not even a power light on the dash if you press the cruise power on button on the wheel\ The last garage that serviced it claims that there is a fault in the ABS control module causing the problem with the cruise. they said there was a fault showing in the rear rhs abs sensor so they tried swapping the lhs sensor to the right but the same fault code persisted. They have said I need to either replace or repair the ABS module. could it be a bad connection somewhere or perhaps faulty relay? Thanks in advance for your comments

AJBM 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2015 Glen just a quick question. I notice in the workshop manual it states that the lights should flash and audible horn chirp sound when the doors are locked with the remote. I have also observed that the clown nose LED does not flash when I use the key remote/central locking. How do I confirm the security system is working?
