bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 f*ckn nice man, just dont chrome it Some deep dish 5 spokes would look cool also, with tyre tuck all round, tints, an "is" lip, then we would have a competitor

BUMPX2 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 sooo fast? auto stock 325i? Mode switchable Auto trans (Sports/Economy/Fixed ) as fitted to the later mid-90's sedans. Means it can really pull when you need it to. Was told it alters the fuel/timing of the engine management as well as the shift times of the gearbox
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 do i know you?? Not personally. I walk my dog passed your house on the week-ends, on my way back from the Cafe. I told your sister to give you this website and that you should join the BMWCC also. Ciao. I'll take you for a spin in my car sometime.
Guest Andrew Report post Posted January 9, 2006 sooo fast? auto stock 325i? Mode switchable Auto trans (Sports/Economy/Fixed ) as fitted to the later mid-90's sedans. Means it can really pull when you need it to. Was told it alters the fuel/timing of the engine management as well as the shift times of the gearbox well whoever told you that didn't know thier stuff - it does none of those things. Hence the reason why people laugh when you tell them a 325 auto is fast. Hell the manual ones are slow also.
E30stz 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2006 As far as I know it works like this .... maybe I'm wrong Sports - Holds gears longer through RPM's before shifting Economy - shifts at most efficent times for fuel consumption Fixed - Manual shifting hte lever up and down the gears
E30_318i 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2006 Thats switchable transmition is all a wank factor imo. But i wouldn't call a E30 325 slow. It depends on what its compared to, and back in its day, acceleration numbers look quite impressive for what it is. I reckon the Tourings look better than the sedan versions. Or maybe thats because there's bugger all of em around.
