Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted January 29, 2006 That's coming up really well. I'm impressed. Looking at photo #1, I wouldn't have thought it could be done. As you may guess, I have no idea about panel beating - never dented anything. I have seen the odd car offered cheap and wondered if it would be worthwhile doing up..... Is it cost effective? BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 no . not realy cost efective . i paid good dollar , in the hope that it could be fixed but also knowing i could get me money back in parts if needed . has cost a bit more than expected to get the panel beater to straighten it out . i have also had to spend a bit of time on it myself stripping it down so the it could be worked on etc . had also brought 2 other cars a 97 4dr and a 92 coupe to use for parts . and be able to sell the parts i dont need myself to help fund it . if you had to pay someone to all the work and buy all the bits from a wrecker or bmw etc . it wouldn't be worth it . i am just a sucker for punishment . have too many cars and not enough time . but i allso have a complete 5spd manual kit to go in it if i get real keen .... this car came with a chipped ECU ,sports rear muffler ,17" wheels tints and cd changer . my_e36 43 Report post Posted March 2, 2006 Good work, I can never do anything like that due to my mechanical don't-know-how. By the way, is it me or the lighting? The front grill seems a bit skewed...

BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted March 5, 2006 ok cool sounds good, how much did the conversion kit cost? i brought a wrecked 92 320i 5spd coupe . needed some other bits from it to fix the 325ci
DrphTa 5 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 (edited) ok, hey brent say if you were to sell it with the manual kit in it? what would you sell it for or what do you think would be a reasonable price for it? if you dont mind me asking? Edited March 6, 2006 by DrphTa
BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 not sure , there are not many 325i coupes around and fewer 5spd manual's . i would have thought about $8-9k or more , depending on what other goodies i add to it . its been chipped already by last owner , cost him $1k . i have the option on a mtec body kit ( a bit like m3 i think) .
