M60 iac valves

So as a lot of you know I've managed to get my car running.

now I am in the final stages of starting to clean everything up and one thing I would like to clean up is the intake pipe from the throttle body.

what are the affects of removing the iacv? As I'm considering removing it to have a nice alloy pipe made up???
