WTB E85 Z4 need some advice

Hi

Anyone got any advice on buying a Z4 please.

I was going to get an MX5 NC with a 6 speed gearbox as a "project" car, have got sign off from the boss for toy purchase :-)

I have discovered that there are Z4's for sale from about $9K . Should I hang out for a manual? NZ new vs Import? Or is the auto worth getting?

2.2 vs 2.5 vs 3.0? Is bigger engine better?.

There are some UK import 6 speed manuals about - do I go near them?
