Artur 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2017 Hi! i recently purchased an e30 320i 1990 and the windscreen wipers have stopped working. I was getting getting gas and turned the car off mid wiper cycle (they were in the middle of the windscreen). When I turned the car back on they wouldn't move. When the wipers are switched on the wiper motor makes a humming sound but the wipers do not move. When I switch between wiper speeds the wiper motor makes a higher/lower pitch humming sound. when I remove the wiper relay, they motor does not work at all (obviously). any idea what this could be? aja540i 1906 Report post Posted October 2, 2017 The nut may have come loose on the motor shaft, not sure how to get to it in one of those, but it holds the small arm on that connects to the linkage.
