arcon 3 Report post Posted February 10, 2019 My E46 is making a repetitive echo type noise, a whop whop that sounds like its coming from a rear wheel - gets faster with speed until its a loud continuous echo. Definitely wasn't there 6 months ago... is this likely a balance or bearing issue?
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted February 10, 2019 Out of balance would cause vibrations. Bad bearings usually cause rumble which decreases in volume when turning left or right. Id check the wheels bolts are tight first but once its jacked up it should be easy to pinpoint when spinning the wheels. Could be a bad tyre or even something is rubbing on wheel. arcon 3 Report post Posted February 25, 2019 It was the bearings ? Got it sorted & now its much quieter.
