DrSayR 2 Report post Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) Kia-Ora guys and gals. As it says I'm a new member but long time reader. Been modifying an '87 e30 that started out as a burnout car, but have now decided that because its it not to bad condition, rust wise, I'm gonna put it back on the road. I'm a newly qualified automotive technician. Also very new to the European car scene. So am grateful for all the info I have already read and learned off of and will continue to soak it up and use on a daily basis to cement it deep in my mind. Kia-Ora Hare Pickering aka DrSlayR P.S. I'm tryna do an sr20 swap on the e30. Hope I dont get bottled off. Edited March 6, 2019 by DrSayR

DrSayR 2 Report post Posted March 7, 2019 Have had the vehicle for about 3 years now was hard out into it then health issues got in the way. So on the back burners while I mended. And now that I have a shed and have done the families other cars I can finally get in to my project once again. As I said before originally it was going to be a 'fun' car, but have now decided it would be great to put it back on the road. Something different for up the north. That's what I'm into. Something different that no one has. But since deciding to put it on the road the parts list has grown from just an engine and gearbox and upgraded diff and axles, to fully adjustable coilovers, 5 lug conversion, rubber mounted box and motor not solid mounted and general tidy up of interior and exterior. Maybe widen it a bit to with steel not a fiberglass kit. But right now the concentration is to finish off mounting and basic plumbing and wiring to get it go. Then the rest as funds allow before getting a cert and re-registration and WOF.
