Anunzis81 32 Report post Posted February 9, 2020 Hi Guys I come for your help as I am hitting a wall here, and it's getting ugly as should be simple. So, as I mentioned, I am putting an m54b30 into a 318ti e36 and the issue I am having is with the water hoses for the heater. Please confirm if I am reading this ok. Pipe #8 in the left connectos to the lower valve connector (#1 right. Then valve to firewall inlet, then firewall outlet to expansion tank. Is it that way? I don't know why #1 in the right shows as connected to the front, tho. Then. #5 in the left goes to the "extra inlet" in the radiator? Thanks!! Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Luckily yes, after some time, I've managed to confirm that the drawing was kind-of correct and in this model, the pipe goes straight to the expansion tank. So I got a generic expansion tank with a hose in the middle. I wasn't sure as the drawing shows the old expansion tank model but the new one with the middle plug should be there.
