Need buying advice please - E28 M535i

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Been wanting one of these for ages, dont know what thier worth.

A E28 535i Motorsport with LSD, Manual, Sunroof etc Red in color.

Unsure of condition yet, will be checking it out tomorrow.

What are these things worth? I think this one

is going to be average as it has a massive 330k's on the clock (not bothered by this as I am a BMW mechanic) and can fix problems.

Any advice on its worth would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

might be my old car . whats the guys name .

is it in the northshore.

great car . was owned by bmw nz for first year . has sleightly lower gearing than most ( i think 3.25 or 3.45 ) .

a lot of monay spent on it over the years .

i have one with 478000km on it nz new , in silver , with 16" late model basket weaves ,black leather etc .

if it is my old car its was quicker than my mates red nz new M535i with cam chip and headwrok etc .

(like a porsche) mind you it only had 14"bbs with low profile tyres on it at that time .

just buy it . great cars everything is fixable .

i have lots of parts for these cars .

Got mine for $5k but it wasn't running also has low comp. engine but with other work done to engine exhaust and brakes also has mint cond. Hockenheims and no flaw in body work. Interior was OK.

less than 90000 miles on it

Hope this gives you an idea.

electrical - left this to the auto-electricians

Overhaul brakes, replace exhaust manifold were larger expenses.

As it had been in storage all hoses seals and other wearing parts had been replaced (mainly so I wouldn't have problems later on)
