E30 188mm diff flange snap ring?

long story short do e30 med case diff output flanges use/require the snap rings?

realoem shows a part number for small case diff as 33131207280 but shows no option for medium case

They are usually included with new seals so probably why it doesn't show a part number (shows the snap ring on the diagram)
