Guest Andrew Report post Posted June 8, 2006 have you looked at the cam yet - or are you assuming it's worn because of advice on this forum. Your probably sounded more to me like a gearbox issue.
danutt 4 Report post Posted June 8, 2006 had it looked at by a euro specialist and thats wat he said its a wron camshaft car doesnt revv fine in neutral i was mistaken i revved it yesterday to make sure it revved fine and waas a gearbox problem but it started to get almost thrown off round 5000 an revv alot slower and that is where i have been experiencing the problem when in gear if you floor the car, theres a cable going to the gearbox which gets pulled, where does this leed too..kick down cable? i have a knocking in the rear when i turn to the right round corners and not when i turn left ive noticed thats my "burnout"wheel lol could be twisted sumthing?or??? thanx
kerrynzl 3 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Call Adrian at Franklin Cams [0800 CAMSHAFT] They build up worn cams ,and grind any profile you want.[this is better than grinding the cam too much and under cutting the base circle] The Cam followers will need resurfacing as well
topless 13 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 if you floor the car, theres a cable going to the gearbox which gets pulled, where does this leed too..kick down cable?Yup...i have a knocking in the rear when i turn to the right round corners and not when i turn left check your upper shock mounts in the boot. Might as well check the lower ones while you are about it... Didn't think burnouts in a 318 were possible..???

E30stz 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2006 (edited) if you couldnt get a 318 to do a burnout den you cant do em right lololol ummmm... 'you cant do em right' ... how many auto gearboxes have you been throguh doing them right lol .. and I'm sure the people that dont do them right, have a further $300-500 that they could spend on buying other performance car mods ie. racing stripes or alcohol.
