Utku 0 Report post Posted August 24 Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with the trunk of my 2001 BMW 520i E39. Yesterday, I closed the trunk a bit forcefully, and afterward, I couldn't open it using the remote key, the trunk release button, or the button under the steering wheel. The only way I can open it now is by inserting the key into the trunk lock and turning it manually to the left. Additionally, my car is constantly displaying a "bootlid open" warning. Do you think the problem is with the trunk lock mechanism, or could it be something with the electronics? Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I'd appreciate any advice or solutions.
