gmccormack 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2006 Did you use a second hand master and slave cylinder? Did you rebuild them? Sometimes second hand hydraulics won't rebleed because accumulated rust and dirt that has sat happily in them for years get disturbed and then dragged through the rubber seals, wrecking them. Could that be the problem??
topless 13 Report post Posted July 3, 2006 One way which helps.. fill master cylinder and then loosten off the pipe from the cylinder and sharply jab the pedal till fluid shows at the exit pipe, then leave it to drip for a short while. Tighten the pipe and try as normal with someone pumping while you open and close the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder. I use compressed air to force fluid through the system but needs some bits made to work and all mine are hidden somewhere in my chaotic container so can't photograph them for you..
