skidz 196 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 I have my engine apart being freshened and builder just rang to say Kelford, Franklin etc will not regrind BMW M20 cams as they cause problems with the tappet adjusters being to small blah blah blah. kerrynzl 3 Report post Posted July 8, 2006 Same problem with a Nissan V6 ,when the base the base circle is ground more than 10 thou,the hydraulic lifters won't pump up enough to take up the clearance. Talk to Adrian at Franklin again,they can build up the lobes then grind the cam [it's a bit more expensive, but cheaper than a Shrick Cam] He did this to my brothers 300Z racecar, it worked perfectly Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
