Guest hizza bizza Report post Posted March 5, 2004 wouldn't it be cheaper, easier? to make them out of fibre glass, prolly wouldnt be as light tho....
Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 No-way man, fibreglass is rubbish. I would love a carbon bonnet, tho it would have to be very well made...
Guest hizza bizza Report post Posted March 5, 2004 oh yeah if I had a choice between the 2 I'd defiantely go for the carbon fibre, unpainted carbon fibre bonnets are sik

*sic 1 Report post Posted March 5, 2004 many people complain that they arent perfect in size when compared to the original.. Just be aware of that.. so true.. there are alot of dudes out there that a re good a glassing but not at all good at carbon yo!
skubez 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 The other difference between fibreglass and carbon panels is that fibreglass get staticly charged by passing air flow, and consequently picks up a lot of dust. People driving Lotus Espirits noted this as being a big problem in the early days, I don't know if they were able to rectify the problem. I don't think cf hoods have the same problem.
