afm issues [cold air induction]

Recommended Posts

can some one tell me if the afm has to be on level or in identical posistion as it was from factory, cause im making myself a custom air box similar to andrews race car and it will probly have to be on a more of a angle towards the ground , plus im wondering that there shouldnt b any issues with the cold air box when going 4 warrant

The AFM is an electrical device, as long as ALL air entering the engine goes thru the AFM it should be OK.

The Only WOF issues I've had with a cold air box, was with the Beer Chiller I had on the front seat of a Falcon

I'd agree with what was said above and add that any angle as long as your not restricting the airflow more.

still... you want it to be secure. Ive had my fair share of trouble with it, and make sure repositioning doesnt cause the ICV to be in a funny position either.

mind you i got a reverse manifod on my e28 so things might be a little different.

be sure to post pics when you done.
