bravo 35 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 I got a free DVD in the mail a couple weeks ago- Fisheye from Terralink. Leaves all this stuff behind. Fish eye is the Gay. Cut down version of the full terraview platinum package (which I have) which is also the gay. Slow, cumbersome and aerial photography has poor coverage (worse than Google Earth) and if you want decent resolution you have to pay. They sent Fisheye all over the country to homes and businesses, but its actually quite crap compared to other mapping and land information software (like quick map). I am a land professional (surveyor) and we use terraview, have access to landonline, and I still use sites like zoomin and smaps as they are much better for straight-out streetmaps and I use Google Earth for my aerial photographs. Why pay Council $45 for an aerial photo with boundaries when you can overlay a terraview jpeg over a Google Earth screen and print your own. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

bravo 35 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 2.7GHz 504Mb DDR corporate broadband. Fish eye is faster than terraview (what it is based on) as there is way less information.
