Owner's manuals: Anyone know where to get em

Searched the net for BMW owner's manuals: can't find anything- Just got an E34 540- no manual

Perhaps someone has one that I could copy/buy or know of somewhere on the web to download

Only reference on the web I could find was bmwusa but registration on the site: doesn't recognise non U.S. VIN numbers

Unlikely to find a e34 manual as electronic form unless someone scanned into PDF somehow.

I would suggest trying eBay.

My car in ex Japan and no service records Great car though, 160K km for under 6K

I might try BMW first (thanks Jochen) - $25 is surprisingly good

If I don't have any luck I may ask to photocopy yours (all of it yes) it that's possible/practicle

I had the same problem with my wife's 318ti, in the end bit the bullet and went to McMillian BMW in Newmarket and was very supprised to find the owners manual was only $24 plus GST. The BMW base ball cap cost $28!!! so for a very resonable price you get the orginal manual. It's probably the only reasonable BMW price though!

All good - I too went to Team McMillian Newmarket:$36 (kind of original- looks rather photocopied as opposed to printed but properly cut and bound though) Not quite sure why I got it now- driving is the best way to learn, anyways good to have. Surprising cheap for a bmw part from bmw. BMW quoted $370 for a battery- ouch. Still you play for quality!

Lov'n me car: OK it's auto but it has 286 hp

The speed limit is 100Km - sure geting there quicker than I've ever done before

Love the Mt Wellington(Sylvia Park) on ramp northbound- foot to the floor in sport mode (of course)

roar of a V8- easing back to 110km as I hit motorway speed-after all it only a family sedan (sleeper )

There's a hell of a lot of manual/auto snobbery out there, mate.

Both have their place and people have their preferences. To dismiss one or the other just because of personal preference is demonstrably ridculous and myopic.
