jpp 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2006 I got no idea, but whatever they do -- whats stopping it from cracking in another spot?
Carl 3 Report post Posted October 1, 2006 I used a place in Lower Hutt to repair mine a while ago but the cracks reappeared a year later. It's the foam underneath that cracks aswell as the vinyl so once they go they're fairly much rooted.

kerrynzl 3 Report post Posted October 1, 2006 The best I've seen is "Dashboard Restorations" in Glenfield ,Auckland. Does a lot of RHD conversion dashes,Etc Has a vacuum molding machine,so they replace all the foam. He done my brothers 'stang, and it looks like a brand-new factory OEM dash
Carl 3 Report post Posted October 2, 2006 As Gus said, most vinyl repairs will look arse Ken, yes they do repairs with the dash still in, got several done in an hour for $40 but quality wasn't great and they split again after a year. Can't remember the name but the guy does mainly marine vinyl work, wouldn't recommend it personally. I'm just starting to cope with the cracks, just call them character marks.
