hybrid 1043 Report post Posted October 7, 2006 There was a guy in the states who tried the same thing with his e46 ... what they all seem to forget is that they all try to put 19 or even 20inch wheels on ... the tire profile end up looking stupid with the size of the gaurds .... the only thing that looks good on these is maybe 17 or 18 inch race stype flat faced wheels with larger tire walls (profile) .. Guest Spargo Report post Posted October 8, 2006 If its a genuine BMW motorsport E36 GTR kit, the suspension needs to be attached to the chassis in a different way, otherwise it just cannot get low enough. f**king tough kit though, I love E36 GTR's. Oh and Emma, its hardly a CLK DTM when its been around for 14 odd years now, the E36 GTR came out in 92.
ThreeOneEight 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Godawful. Leave the racecars on the track, would hate to parallel park the bugger.
bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 If was a genuine racecar that actually needed the kit then possibly, that guy just looks like a tosser.
Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 I agree with the snowplow comment. Way too low for me. Way too ugly for me. I'd be very embarasassed to be seen driving it and having everyone laugh at me...
M3_Power 636 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Personally I prefer the AC Schnitzer E36 M3 CLS and CLSII - only about 8 in total in the world I believe Some photos ... you gotta love the 3 seater arrangement and the baby Recaro SPG seat in the rear .... smokenbaby 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 (edited) This is a nice GTR inspired kit from the states. and it is on a race car so that makes it better. It can be yours for US$2500 Edited October 9, 2006 by smokenbaby
p1_m3 8 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 "Personally I prefer the AC Schnitzer E36 M3 CLS and CLSII - only about 8 in total in the world I believe" Yes thats much better - more understated in true E36 M3 stylee. Didnt Aplina make a B8 version of the E36 or something????
p1_m3 8 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 what about this then? 1 of 2 CLSIIs think one got written off and the other is in Japan somewhere.

drifty325i 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2006 The CLS and CLS 11 are very sweet looking cars, i really like the factoryish look of them. very understated
Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted October 10, 2006 Its really hard to like that CLSII due to the ghastly colour. Surely that's not a factory paint? I used to think the grey BMW was the worst colour - that bugger just went to top of the list!

I think its called the 'lederhosen effect'
