kiwi535 538 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 (edited) all e 39 m5s were v 8s.The e 34 used two sixes started with the 3.6 and moved to the 3.8 i think in about 91,the 3.8s were euro only.The US aus and NZ never got the 3.8 m5 .I think the last e 34 M5s were 1995 and had the six speed gearbox and 250 kw 3.8 inline 6 M5 3.6 '89-'91 S38 24v 6 - 3535cc 250+ km/h 6.3 sec 311hp / 315bhp 265.5ft.lbs@4750 Rpm 10.0:1 M5 3.8 '92-95 S38 24v 6 - 3795cc 250+ km/h 5.9 sec 335hp / 340bhp 295ft.lbs@4750 Rpm 10.5:1 Edited October 22, 2006 by kiwi535
