drifty325i 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 Hey Guys, Just scored a set of very very rare oldschool 15'' Aluline dished mags. Made in w germany and designed for e30s Could only find a few pix of them after hours of searching. What should i do to them? caps on caps off? Standard? Polished lip? Polished lip with black centres? Polished lip with silver centres? Any opinions welcome

drifty325i 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 Not my taste. If you must, paint the spokes body colour. Yes they are not to everones taste, they are 80s period mags and are the correct offset for e30s. Prob will appeal more to e30 purists i would think. I would go Polished lip with black centres. im thinking that to

Im thinking body colour or black almost bought those! pretty cool wheel looks like black and polish could be the winner Were you the other dude asking the questions? hehe i thought it might be someone on here. I think you might be right about the black centres. Bearing in mind the colour of the car will be silver/bluey finish. I also think the body colour might look good for the centres? Or how about fully polished bbs rs style? could set the colour of the car off good

bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 I think painting the centre body colour would look horrible. Esp in blue. Keep them standard IMO, only really should polish something if theyre 3 peice I reckon. Def not black centres. Wouldnt suit the bright blue.

I just chucked body colour out there lol, the car is really more silver. About not having black centres i kinda feel that it may suit having black as the p/f has alot of black trimmings etc, i would agree not on a f/l model tho. bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted October 27, 2006 gloss black I reckon. Will look better against the glossy paint.
drifty325i 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2006 (edited) gloss black I reckon. Will look better against the glossy paint. Hmmm i wish i could do a poll on glossy or matt. I personally think matt black because it will match the matt black bumper trim, window trim, mtech rear spoiler 80s DTM style etc and if i have gloss black it might be overkill on the gloss, ie a bit to bling? bering in mind the dish will be highly polished Edited October 27, 2006 by drifty325i
