Bullitt 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Seems like a pretty simple process. Jack up car, undo bolts, swap diff, put back together. I reckon I could replace one quicker than he took to type that
TronSpec 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2006 Seems like a pretty simple process. Jack up car, undo bolts, swap diff, put back together. I reckon I could replace one quicker than he took to type that Swapd my diff over today. Man What a kunt to do by yourself. First of all the orginal bolts were f**kin tite as. Then trying to balance the diff on the jack and line the top mounting bolts up was a mission.. All up took me about 4 hours once I'd tidied up.... Having a hoist and extra pair of hands would have made it easier though...

Mike 1 Report post Posted November 23, 2006 Biggest problem changing a diff for first time will be that often there isn't enough room on axle stands to swing a bar to break bolts loose. Pit/hoist helps heaps here. Other than that not too hard on ground. Just spray CRC or WD40 on everything if it hasn't been undone for a while (if ever)
