ringo 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 (edited) Im interested to know how much this car cost in 1997? I got it from a dealer. The original asking price was $32,000, but I ended up paying only $25,000. Since then I have had the car chipped, upgraded the stereo, and added the air-con - that was a special fit from a company in Ponsonby. I do not know why the one headlight is different. I have not replaced any of them, but I could not say whether they are all original. I have taken out the four 55W bulbs and replaced them all with 100W ones. Makes it so much brighter. This is a reluctant sale. I have had the E46 for just over a month while deciding whether or not to sell this one. Unfortunately I do not have enough room to keep both of my Beemers, along with my wifes car (also a Beemer) - only got a two car garage. Thanks for the nice comments. I still think the best answer here is to sell the wife's car (unless it's an M3) or trade the wife and her car for an M3... or sell her on the black market to pay for a bigger garage to buy more BMW's. E30stz 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 (edited) I think the solution is obvious here ... it has to go ... the wife.. not the car. I thought everyone had 2 Bimmers each, oh well . Edited December 7, 2006 by E30stz

drifty325i 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 (edited) Think you can run into trouble with warrants and or cops with 100watts. you would have to be unlucky tho Edited December 7, 2006 by drifty325i
ringo 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 Think you can run into trouble with warrants and or cops with 100watts. you would have to be unlucky tho I've been running 100W bulbs in this car for 8+ years, and in my previous car before that as well. I have never had any problems. I have changed over both the dip, and the full beam bulbs. If you are concerned, maybe only change ove rthe high beam. And as to the race car, well it will do a 1min 20 sec around Pukekohe without pushing it too hard. It is, or should I say was, my daily driver, so it gets looked after. This is bullshit ... there is always room for an e30 even as nice as this I have a two car garage .. 1 x e46 and 1 flatmate with a GSR .. e30 gets driven once a week for a day and get washed every week and sits outside in the spare vistor park. . . feel the love .. build a new garage .. keep it! good luck with the otherwise
