will 169 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 Disconnect the battery!!! Jack up the car at the rear and put stands securely under it. The tank can stick to the body so will often require a bit of argybargy to free it so make sure the stands are well placed and steady. Drain all the fuel from it by removing the plug underneath and draining it into an open container. Remove the bottom of the rear seat, remove the cover over the wiring/fuel line connection and remove the fuel lines and pump and fuel sender connections. Remove the exhaust system Remove the exhaust heat shield Remove the propshaft Disconnect the rubber hose from the filler to tank. remove the tank mounting bolts and drop the tank.
