Mavrick 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 Yeah i know they are. This certain set im looking at has two different offsets to choose from, 20mm and 35mm and I was just wondering what would be the correct choice. Cheers Mavrick
bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 def 20mm dude. 35mm will sit in too much
drifty325i 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 Yip 20p would look very sweet. Pics of the mags then
antony 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2007 my old 17's were et35. they would rub at the front on the strut when you turned at full lock. et20 will fill your gaurd nicely. and +1 for pics
Mavrick 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2007 Are the majority of the wheels sold on the NZ market made from aluminium? If not what are the good/bad points of wheels made from aluminium? Cheers Mavrick

zenetti 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 I can get a set of 17 wheels for cheap, Theyre 17x7 40p offset. how will these go onto my e30? they will rub on the inside struts unless you run a bolt on type spacer
dc2r 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 they will rub on the inside struts unless you run a bolt on type spacer This on front or rear? and how many mm spacer would i need to clear the strut. cheers
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 with a 40mm offset you need 20mm spacers to bring it back to 20mm offset. being a 7 inch rim .. you should be fine and shouldnt get inner guard rub either.
Mike 1 Report post Posted May 1, 2007 (edited) 5mm should be enough to clear the strut but will look odd becuase the wheel will sit too far in, as josh said 20mm spacers would be ideal. watch the brakes though, I test fitted wheels that cleared the strut but the caliper hit the spokes Edited May 1, 2007 by Mike
dc2r 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2007 Sweet, is that 5mm spacers all round? will i have problems with the wheel studs being to short with 5mm spacers, or will it be sweet?
Mavrick 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2007 You will want a 20mm spacer as hybrid suggested to bring to the right off-set. Mike was saying you could get away with a 5mm spacer but the wheel will look odd tucked in under the guard. Dont go with the 5mm spacer in other words.
