BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted February 12, 2007 Depends what 1602. If its a stock standard, i think 4 speed manual, then it will be ok for a classic car. Watch for rust, I came close to buying one only to find it was rust for miles. A really good nick one with no rust and FSH etc you will pay the dollars for. I can't beleive Ken's letting you do this Beau, You can only drive one car at a time. (Will says otherwise tho lol)

$toffz 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 Its a crack up guys are talking about this, just bought the 'Classic Car Magazine' its one from the uk and there was a red 1602 in there for sale. Never seen one before, actually thought it was typo in the beginning. Be hard pressed to chose between that and a 2002tii (In canary yellow )

My tii was a really neat car. Now owner by Andy Wallace who punts it around in the BMW series. Was bog standard when I had it though only with Cromodora's. Never driven a 1602, but in standard trim, I would image they wouldn't set the world alight in the performance stakes. My 2cw

isis 16 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) ooh love the red!! i bought the 71 that way and the first time i took it home i found the 5th gear! was quite surprise. the last owner must have put it in. It was a bit of an unusual 02 as it had the chrome trimming on the dash, most i've seen at that period doesn't. cainchapman 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 Slow, not so fast. Quicker than a Morris Minor. Slower than a 1275GT Mini.
Guest Spargo Report post Posted February 15, 2007 5 Speed must have been out of another car? 5spd was a rare option on the 02tii and 02 turbo.
