Has to be after 1994 and must be NZ New or have a serivce history (dads conditions). Would like something around 100,000km, and that has had it's 100,000k serivce done (cambelt etc) with receipts. Unless you prefer a Ti' (which I dont), there probably isnt much worth buying for under 6k. Sub $6k E36's never seem to be quite upto par, lots of km's and generally pre-94. with the specs you require, it is reasonably unrealistic that you'd find something adequate for around 6k. 6k seems to be the lowest price you can pay for a very average E36 with higher km's. Hard enough finding an E36 with those specs for less than $8k to be honest. 6k tends to be able to buy you a stock E36, on stock wheels done 140/150-180,000km's, auto, imported 1991-1993/4 316i/318i. Or a 320/325i with 180+ km's on it. Just an opinion, the trends I've noticed. In fact it should be compulsory to own an e30 before you are allowed to buy any other BMW. In all seriousness, she may be better off - you can get a nice e30 for $6k these days. Muzzie 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2007 Hey guys, shes bought a 1994 318IS. Dunno if thats any better than a run of the mill 318 but anyways. 110 clicks, just been serviced. Has some body scratches but excellent interior. Seller says they're chain driven? Is that correct. Anything we should be looking out for mechanically?
