Andrew 30 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Jamex Superlow springs (progressive, 60mm drop). Suit 4 cylinder (not that it matters probably). Ask $150 o.n.o OR will SWAP for any motorsport springs from an M325 or 318iS (must have correct m marking and part number visable) Cheers
martyyn 2 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Excuse my ignorance, but how does this 'superlow' vs 'progressive' work ? In my uneducated mind I had the superlows and progressives as different springs where the superlows dropped 60mm and the progressives dropped 40mm. Gus 5 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 superlow refers to the drop (60mm vs 40mm) progressive refers to the spring rate...ie it is not linear. linear is a constant spring rate through the travel. progressive is soft at first before getting firmer towards the end of its travel
martyyn 2 Report post Posted March 6, 2007 Right, so you get a reasonable amount of travel when cruising to smooth things out but its stiffer if you throw it around more ? If superlows are 60mm what do they call 40mm ?
